Holistic education demands development of all aspects of individual's personality across various domains. In the light of all the above, an eminence of co-curricular activities in Teacher Education institutes cannot be neglected. This is the stage where teacher-trainees learn to participate and organize co-curricular activities perhaps for the last time in regular student's life. They are the individuals who will become future teachers. They are the ones who are going to guide the students, identifying their potentials and capabilities and help them in organizing the programme.
In our institute, Co-curricular activities basically comprise of cultural, literary activities, outside College participation, and sports & games. |
- Cultural activities: Painting, rangoli, dancing, musical programmes, decoration, fancy dress, mime, exhibition, flower decoration, folk dance, folk songs, role play, street plays, etc are organized.
- Literary activities: Morning assemblies, debates, discussions, extension lectures, seminars, symposiums, Kavi sammelan, quiz, even the educational and national issues are discussed through brain storming. These are some of the activities which teacher trainees organize and participate.
